A simple set of guidelines were used to order the many disparate design vignettes throughout the home.  The theory behind the home is based on two aspects of what a building is: fist; a building is a shelter made up of floors, walls and roofs which are fixed - static in nature: second; a building is made up of areas dedicated to occupant tasks and uses.  Kitchens, baths, sleeping and entertainment areas are all activity based – movement in nature.  The way these two aspects of the building interact provides the rules the design must follow. The static aspects of the building and site are orthogonal.  The activity related aspects of the building are curved in shape and orbit around a central sphere.
